The MOTORVISION Group has taken its process of international expansion to a whole new level by launching its channel in five new countries. Having recently signed agreements in Australia, Cyprus, Portugal, Angola and Mozambique, the car, motoring and motor racing channel MOTORVISION TV is now broadcast in a total of 22 countries on four continents.

In Portugal, MOTORVISION TV is broadcast on cable and satellite television through NOS, the country’s largest communication and entertainment group and leading pay TV provider, which received the Contact Center World Award for Best Customer Service in 2013. In addition to operating a cable network that reaches more than three million households, NOS provides new generation broadband services, free Wi-Fi internet at over 600,000 hotspots in Portugal and 13 million hotspots worldwide, a 4G mobile network available to 90 percent of the Portuguese population and fixed voice.

In Angola and Mozambique, MOTORVISION TV is broadcast as part of the “MAX Package” provided by ZAP, which is affiliated to the Portuguese NOS Group and, with a portfolio of over 120 local and international channels, is the largest pay TV provider in the region. In all three of these countries, the programmes are shown in English with Portuguese subtitles.

In Cyprus, meanwhile, the programmes are broadcast on the PrimeTel platform in English with Greek subtitles and in Australia, MOTORVISION TV has partnered with SWIFT, which shows the programmes on the Wizzie platform. On top of these developments, MOTORVISION now belongs to the sports package included in the IPTV service offered by Telekom Malaysia, increasing the number of viewers it reaches in this country.

“The agreements we have recently signed are a true milestone on the road towards the programmes broadcast by the MOTORVISION Group reaching car, motoring and motor racing enthusiasts around the world. I’m particularly pleased about the partnerships that we’ve developed with market leaders NOS in Portugal and ZAP in Angola and Mozambique, as by introducing programmes with Portuguese subtitles, we are able to reach a brand new audience,” states Raimund Köhler, CEO of the MOTORVISION Group.
